1306, Poitiers : Le Grand Maître Jacques de Molay, sentant la fin de l’Ordre des

2013, Rome : Le Pape découvre d’étranges courriers hérités de ses prédécesseurs. Il
sollicite le Père Paul Kaminsky, agent du service des enquêtes spéciales du Vatican
afin qu’il se rende en France et retrouve sept émeraudes, ornement d’une couronne
ramenée de Terre Sainte au onzième siècle. Durant cette quête, le prêtre sera épaulé
par Elaheh, une mystérieuse iranienne, membre de la secte des Assassiyine, faction
criminelle disparue depuis près de mille ans. Des châteaux d’Aquitaine aux remparts
de Carcassonne, d’un couvent corse aux chapelles du Vatican, l’aventure du prêtre et
de la jeune musulmane va se transformer en une union sacrée qui leur permettra de
se confronter aux forces du Mal tout en essayant d’échapper aux tueurs du
mystérieux Ordre Epsilon.

Mon avis :

Un grand merci à M+ éditions pour m'avoir permis de lire ce livre, encore un livre coup de cœur pour cet auteur dont je suis un grand fan de sa plume si addictive, une fois dans le livre, on ne le lâche plus jusqu'à la fin.

L'histoire se déroule en deux temps, premièrement au XIV ème siècle et de nos jours.

Tout commence en 1306 à Poitiers où Jacques de Molay voit la fin de l'Ordre des Templiers proche.

Il met à la confidence le Pape Clément V qu'il à en sa possession une couronne d'émeraudes appartenant à Satan lui même. Il à peur pour sa protection et il la confie au Saint-père pour la cacher dans le Temple de Salomon où les pouvoirs démoniaques sont limités.

De nos jours en 2013 à Rome le pape se découvre de mystérieux pouvoirs hérités de ses ancêtres. Il va demander au père Kaminsky qui est à la tête du service d'enquêtes spéciales au Vatican de se rendre en France pour retrouver ces fameuses émeraudes pouvant êtres serties avec cette mystérieuse couronne. Il va faire équipe avec Elaheh une iranienne membre des Assassiyine. Ils vont devoir faire preuve de reflection et de tact si ils veulent toutes les récupérés surtout avec l'Ordre d'Epsilon a leurs trousses.

Un livre lu d'une traite tellement la plume de l'auteur est si addictive.

My mind :

A big thank you to M+ éditions for allowing me to read this book, another "coup de coeur" book for this author, of whom I'm a big fan with his addictive writing style. Once you're in the book, you can't put it down until the end.

The story unfolds in two stages, first in the 14th century and then in the present day.

It all begins in 1306 in Poitiers, where Jacques de Molay sees the end of the Templar Order approaching.

He tells Pope Clement V that he has in his possession a crown of emeralds belonging to Satan himself. Fearing for his protection, he entrusted it to the Holy Father and hid it in the Temple of Solomon, where demonic powers are limited.

Now in 2013 in Rome, the Pope discovers mysterious powers inherited from his ancestors. He asks Father Kaminsky, head of the Vatican's special investigations department, to travel to France to find the emeralds that can be set in this mysterious crown. He will team up with Elaheh, an Iranian member of the Assassiyine. They'll have to be both thoughtful and tactful if they're to recover them all, especially with the Order of Epsilon hot on their heels.

A book read in one go, so addictive is the author's pen.

If you like thrillers and fantasy, I can only recommend this book, and I can't wait to find out what happens next.
