Né en 1962, Harlan Coben vit dans le New Jersey avec sa femme et leurs quatre enfants. Diplômé en sciences politiques du Amherst College, il a rencontré un succès immédiat dès la publication de ses premiers romans, tant auprès de la critique que du public. Il est le premier auteur à avoir reçu le Edgar Award, le Shamus Award et le Anthony Award, les trois prix majeurs de la littérature à suspense aux États-Unis. Depuis Ne le dis à personne... (2002) – récompensé du prix des lectrices Elle et adapté avec succès au cinéma par Guillaume Canet –, Belfond a publié vingt romans de Harlan Coben, dont Une chance de trop (2004 et 2015) et Juste un regard (2005 et 2017), tous deux adaptés en minisérie sur TF1. Born in 1962, Harlan Coben lives in New Jersey with his wife and their four children. A graduate in political science from Amherst College, he met with immediate success as soon as his first novels were published, both critically and publicly. He is the first author to have received the Edgar Award, the Shamus Award and the Anthony Award, the three major prizes for suspense literature in the United States. Since Don't tell anyone.... (2002) - awarded the Elle readers' prize and successfully adapted for the cinema by Guillaume Canet -, Belfond has published twenty novels by Harlan Coben, including Une chance de trop (2004 and 2015) and Juste un regard (2005 and 2017), both adapted in mini-series on TF1. In 2018, he developed the eight episodes of the Safe series broadcast in May on C8 and Netflix, before signing an exclusive contract with the American streaming platform providing for the adaptation of 14 existing titles and future projects in series and film, including Ne t'escis plus. Mon avis :

Je tiens à remercier les éditions Belfond et le site Netgalley pour ce partenariat.

Mon premier livre de cet auteur depuis le temps que je voyais des avis positifs sur ses livres il me fallait à tout prix lire un de ses livres.

On y retrouve Napoléon surnommé Nap qui quinze ans auparavant à perdu son frère jumeau et la petite amie de celui ci dans un accident sur le bord d'une voie ferrée.

Nap est policier de nos jours, son passé resurgit d'un seul coup Rex un ami d'enfance est brutalement tué. Sauf que sur le lieu du crime les empreintes de Maura son amour d'enfance sont retrouvées. Surtout qu'il était sans nouvelles depuis quinze ans. C'est un choc pour lui.

J'ai accroché de suite à l'histoire si captivante, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements. Les personnages étaient attachants. Le suspens nous tiens en haleine du début à la fin. Hâte de lire d'autres livres d'Harlan Coben qui a une plume addictive.

My first book by this author since I had seen positive reviews on his books I had to read one of his books at all costs.

We find Napoleon nicknamed Nap who fifteen years earlier lost his twin brother and his girlfriend in an accident on the side of a railway track.

Nap is a policeman nowadays, his past suddenly reappears Rex a childhood friend is brutally killed. Except that at the crime scene Maura's childhood love prints are found. Especially since he hadn't heard from him in 15 years. It's a shock to him.

I immediately hooked on the story so captivating, full of suspense and twists and turns. The characters were endearing. The suspense keeps us on the edge of our seats from start to finish. Looking forward to reading more books by Harlan Coben who has an addictive pen.
