Il est né à Paris en 1961. Il a passé toute son enfance et son adolescence à Vitry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne) dans ce qu'on appelait à l'époque la "banlieue rouge". Sa grand-mère habitait depuis toujours dans le quartier de la gare et nous dans le centre près de l'ancien cimetière où reposait mon grand-père. Il est le second d'une famille de trois garçons.

Après le bac, Il a suivi des études d'instituteur à l'Ecole Normale de Melun en Seine-et-Marne. Il est ensuite parti enseigner deux ans dans un lycée turc à Ankara comme professeur de français langue étrangère. De retour en France, Il s'est installé à Paris puis à Lognes dans la ville nouvelle de Marne-la-Vallée où il enseigne depuis 25 ans. C'est le père de trois adolescents.

Comment Il est devenu écrivain? IL a toujours aimé raconter des histoires. Enfant, il fabriquait des "livres" qu'il illustrait. A l'adolescence, il créé quelques spectacles de marionnettes dans des centres de vacances ou pour des goûters d'anniversaire. Au lycée, il a écrit des sketchs et des pièces de théâtre. De retour de Turquie, il a envoyé son premier roman à tous les éditeurs de Paris. Comme personne n'a voulu de son "oeuvre", il s'est un temps résigné à n'écrire que pour lui. Puis grâce à ses enfants, il a découvert la littérature pour la jeunesse et il a décidé de tenter de nouveau sa chance. Il a fallu cinq ou six ans et autant de manuscrits pour qu'une éditrice s'intéresse à lui. Depuis, il publie un livre par an.

About the author :

He was born in Paris in 1961. He spent his childhood and adolescence in Vitry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne) in what it called at the time the "banlieue rouge". " His grandmother has always lived in the neighborhood of the station and we in the Center near the cemetery where my grandfather was based. It is the second in a family of three boys.

After graduating, he followed studies of teacher at the normal school of Melun, in the Seine and Marne. Then he went to teach two years in a Turkish school in Ankara as a french language teacher. Back in France, he moved to Paris and then to New York in the new town of marne la - Valley where he taught for 25 years. He's the father of three teenagers.

How he became a writer. He has always loved stories. As a child, he made a "livres" he illustrated. " As a teenager, he created a few puppet shows in centres for snacks of birthday or holiday. In high school, he wrote skits and plays. Back from Turkey, he sent his first novel to all publishers in Paris. As no one would of his "oeuvre", it a time resigned to write that for him. " Then thanks to his children, he discovered the children's literature and he decided to try his luck again. It took five or six years and as many manuscripts for an editor interested in him. Since then, he published a book a year.

Koridwen est la dernière survivante d'un hameau de Bretagne. Avec l'aide du vieux Yffig, elle a inhumé les neuf autres habitants du coin. Puis le vieux Yffig est mort à son tour, et Koridwen l'a enterré lui aussi. Avant de mourir, la mère de Kori lui a confié une enveloppe laissée par sa grand-mère, à ouvrir le jour de ses quinze ans. Cette lettre, qui parle d'un long voyage et de mondes parallèles, fait si étrangement écho au message reçu sur Warriors of Times que Koridwen est ébranlée malgré elle. Elle décide d'aller chercher son cousin Max et de se rendre avec lui en tracteur au rendez-vous à Paris.

Koridwen is the last survivor of a hamlet of Brittany. With the help of the old Yffig, she has buried the nine other inhabitants of the area. Then the old Yffig died in turn, and Koridwen buried him also. Before he died, the mother of Kori gave him an envelope left by his grandmother, to open the day of its fifteen years. My mind :

Another book in the series U4 devoured in no time, it is the second in the series I read after Yannis. In this volume the Kori alias Koridwen who decides to leave his native Brittany for Paris with the tractor to his parents after the U4 virus epidemic there. His grandmother in a letter said that she has a great destiny. There are Stéphane, Yannis and Jules in the book aimed to get to the appointment of Khronos to December 24, without the scene from the novel on Yannis repeat. I loved dive into the history of Kori is an endearing character and leaving us hanging at the end hoping to learn more in the other books.

Mon avis :

Encore un livre de la série U4 dévoré en peu de temps, c'est le second de la série que je lis après Yannis. Dans ce tome la on y retrouve Kori alias Koridwen qui décide de quitter sa Bretagne natale pour Paris avec le tracteur de ses parents après l'épidémie de virus U4. Sa grand-mère dans une lettre lui dis qu'elle a un destin exceptionnel. On y retrouve Stephane, Yannis et Jules dans le livre qui ont pour but se rendre au rendez-vous de Khronosau 24 décembre, sans que les scène du roman sur Yannis se répètent. J'ai adoré me plonger dans l'histoire de Kori qui est un personnage attachante et qui nous laisse en suspens à la fin en espérant en apprendre d'avantage dans les autres tomes.
