My mind

As a fan of the English language, where I find that more is perceived than in French, I had to read this series, which reminded me of Outlander at all costs.

We follow twenty-something Awena, who is offered a trip to the northern Highlands as a birthday present. Once there, she heads for an ancient stone circle at the top of a hill. But everything changes, and she finds herself six hundred years back in time.

In the past, two Druid warriors take her under their wings and give her to Darren Saint-Clare, the famous black wolf of the Highalnds, who believes that this is the sudden arrival of the Chosen One foretold by prophecy.

From the outset, I was hooked by the story, and having loved Oultander, I absolutely had to read this first volume, and the author's addictive writing won me over. I can't wait to discover the book.

Linda Saint Jalmes est une auteure celtique française, spécialisée dans la romance fantastique inspirée de la mythologie celtique. Elle a écrit de nombreux romans, dont trois : The Saga of the Children of the Gods, The Saga of the Croz, et The Bhampair Saga (dark fantasy avec des Highlanders vampires). Mon avis

Etant fan de la langue anglaise ou pour ma part je trouve que l'on, perçoit plus de choses qu'en français il me fallait lire cette série qui m'a fait pensé à Outlander à tout prix.

On va suivre Awena la vingtaine à qui on offre en guise de cadeaux d'anniversaire un voyage dans le nord des Highlands. Une fois sur place elle se dirige vers un cercle de pierres très ancien au sommet d'une colline. Sauf que tout va basculer elle va se retrouver six cent ans en arrière.

Dans le passé deux guerriers druide la prenne sous leurs ailes pour la donner à Darren Saint-Clare le fameux loup noir des Highalnds et il va croire que c'est l'arrivée soudaine de l’Élue annoncée par la prophétie.

Dès le départ j'ai été happé par l'histoire,quand on me parle de magie celtique, voyage dans le temps, ayant adoré Oultander il me fallait lire ce premier tome absolument et grâce à sa plume si addictive l'auteure m'a conquis. Hâte de découvrir la suite.
