Au début du XXIIe siècle, Roxanne, scientifique de renom, est en quête d’un avenir meilleur pour une civilisation humaine qui n’est plus que l’ombre d’elle-même. En 2016, Thomas, reporter envoyé en Irak, se retrouve au centre d’une intrigue dont il ne peut anticiper le dénouement. 2000 ans plus tôt, avant même le début de son ministère, le jeune Jésus de Nazareth entreprend un long voyage vers l’Asie, porteur d’une vérité que ses contemporains ne sont pas encore prêts à entendre.

Lorsqu’un agriculteur égyptien déterre de mystérieux parchemins en 1945, il est loin de se douter que les secrets qu’ils renferment bouleverseront l’histoire. Et si l’avenir du genre humain résidait dans l’avènement d’une nouvelle humanité ?

Un grand merci aux éditions Librinova pour m'avoir permis de lire ce livre.

L'auteur nous entraîne dans trois époques différentes avec trois personnages qui n'ont aucune famille en commun ni d'ami mais le destin va faire qu'ils vont se croiser.

On y retrouve Roxanne au tout début du XXII ème siècle qui est scientifique et qui ne rêve que d'un avenir meilleur pour notre civilisation qui est l'ombre d'elle même. Quant à Thomas en 2016, il est journaliste reporter en Irak et il semble se trouver au milieu d'un événement dont il ne peut rien y faire. Deux milles ans plus tôt Jésus de Nazareth voyage vers l'Asie, un long périple l'attend pour aller rapporter une vérité que ses disciples ne seront pas près à entendre. Et un agriculteur d'Egypte trouve un mystérieux parchemin datant de 1945, loin d'imaginer que les secrets qu'il cachent changeront à jamais l'histoire.

Un livre lu d'une traite tellement avec trois époques différentes, trois personnages différents l'auteur m'a conquis. Une plume addictive, une écriture fluide qui font qu'on ne lâche pas le livre jusqu'à la fin.

Si vous aimez les progrès technologiques, la spiritualité, les pans cachés de l'histoire je ne peux que vous recommander ce livre.

The author takes us through three different eras with three characters who have no family in common and no friends, but fate will bring them together.

We meet Roxanne at the very beginning of the 22nd century, a scientist who dreams only of a better future for our civilization, which is a shadow of its former self. As for Thomas in 2016, he's a reporter in Iraq and seems to find himself in the middle of an event he can do nothing about. Two thousand years ago, Jesus of Nazareth traveled to Asia, a long journey awaiting him as he brought back a truth that his disciples were not ready to hear. And a farmer in Egypt finds a mysterious parchment dating back to 1945, far from imagining that the secrets it conceals will change history forever.

This book was read in one go, so much so that with three different eras and three different characters, the author won me over. Addictive, fluid writing that keeps you reading right to the end.

If you like technological progress, spirituality and hidden aspects of history, I can only recommend this book.
