Ysobel est apprentie-herboriste. Elle parcourt le pays en compagnie de son maître, Kagan. Lorsqu’elle traite son premier patient sans supervision, elle ne s’imagine pas que cela obligera Kagan à lui confier son lourd secret.
Mylen est apprentie-espionne. Lors d’une mission au palais, elle voit son maître, Sato, se faire assassiner par un individu masqué. Elle se réfugie au Consulat où elle espère trouver protection et sécurité.
Un attentat contre la Haute-Dame de Marcheprime rapproche les deux jeunes femmes qui n’ont d’autres choix que de tenter de s’apprivoiser.

Les deux acolytes parviendront-elles à mener à bien leur mission sans trahir leurs convictions ?

Mon avis :

Depuis le temps que je voulais découvrir la plume de l'auteure, voilà qui est fait, livre lu en lecture commune sur Instagram.

Je suis fan de l'édition reliée si bien illustrée avec des pages couleurs.

On y retrouve Ysobel qui est apprentie herboriste, elle se ballade dans le pays avec son maître Kagan. Elle va s'occuper d'un patient, son premier sans contrôle, ce qu'elle ignore c'est que cela va obliger Kagan à lui reveler un lourd secret.

Quant à Mylen, c'est une apprentie espionne, pendant une mission au palais, elle va voir son maître Sato se faire tuer par une sorte d'individu masqué. Elle va se cacher au Consulat en espérant être protégée et en sécurité.

Il va y avoir un attentat contre la Haute-Dame de Marcheprime qui va rapprocher les deux jeunes filles qui vont apprendre à se connaître.

Réussiront elles à mener leur mission jusqu'au bout?

Plus j'avançais dans le livre plus j'avais envie de découvrir la fin, je me serais pas retenu je l'aurais lu d'une traite tellement j'ai adoré la plume si addictive de l'auteure, son écriture fluide. Avec ce livre elle m'a conquit, hâte de lire d'autres de ses livres.

My mind :

I've been wanting to discover the author's pen for ages, and now I've done it, reading the book together on Instagram.

I'm a fan of the hardcover edition, so well illustrated with color pages.

As for Mylen, she's an apprentice spy. During a mission to the palace, she sees her master Sato killed by some kind of masked individual. She goes into hiding at the Consulate, hoping for protection and safety.

An attempt on the life of the High Lady of Marcheprime brings the two girls together, and they get to know each other.

Will they succeed in completing their mission?

The further I got into the book, the more I wanted to find out the ending. I couldn't have held back, I'd have read it in one go, so much did I love the author's addictive, fluid style. This book won me over, and I can't wait to read more of her books.
