Résumé :

Beley est un homme âpre et rugueux, alcoolique, plus prompt à réagir avec violence qu'à réfléchir. Il vit de combines souvent foireuses. Il habite avec son fils de douze ans qu'il considère comme un fardeau à cause de son handicap intellectuel proche de l'autisme.
Après avoir découvert le corps affreusement torturé du complice avec lequel il avait fait un cambriolage, il se voit contraint de prendre la fuite. En compagnie de son fils, il va écumer les routes pourchassé par deux tueurs dont il ignore les motivations. Ensemble, ils vont parcourir les routes sans destination précise tout en ignorant que la police suit également leur trace. Au fil de leurs pérégrinations, ils rencontreront des anges et des démons et il découvrira que son fils en sait bien plus qu'il ne veut l'admettre.

Ma chronique :

Un grand merci à l'auteur pour m'avoir permis de lire ce livre coup de cœur, dès le départ, j'ai été happé par l'histoire si prenante, captivante, remplie d'intrigues, de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages très attachants. Je n'ai pas lâcher le livre du début à la fin tellement j'ai été tenu en haleine avec la plume de l'auteur si addictive.

On y retrouve Beley qui sombre dans l'alcool et ne réagit qu'avec violence plutôt que de réfléchir. Il gagne sa vie en faisant de drôles de combines. Quant à son fils de douze ans, c'est un fardeau pour lui. Beley découvre un jour le corps de son complice avec qui il a fait un casse complètement torturé. Avec son fils il prend la fuite car deux tueurs les pourchassent sans qu'il sache pourquoi et ignorant que la police le suit de près. Plus l'histoire avance plus il va en apprendre sur son fils.

Si vous aimez les courses contre la montre entre des tueurs, la police et le personnage principal le tout rempli d'action c'est ce livre qu'il faut lire.

Summary :

After discovering the horribly tortured body of the accomplice with whom he had robbed, he is forced to flee. In the company of his son, he will scour the roads chased by two killers whose motives he does not know. Together, they will travel the roads without any precise destination while ignoring that the police are also following their tracks. Along the way, they will meet angels and demons and he will discover that his son knows more than he wants to admit.

My review :

A big thank you to the author for allowing me to read this book, from the beginning, I was caught up in the story so gripping, captivating, full of intrigue, suspense and twists with very endearing characters. I couldn't let go of the book from beginning to end because I was held in suspense by the author's addictive pen.

We find Beley who sinks into alcohol and only reacts with violence rather than thinking. He earns his living by doing funny tricks. As for his twelve year old son, he is a burden to him. One day, Beley discovers the body of his accomplice with whom he had done a completely tortured heist. With his son, he flees because two killers are chasing them without him knowing why and without him knowing that the police are following him closely. The more the story progresses, the more he will learn about his son.

If you like the race against time between killers, police and the main character all filled with action this is the book to read.
