Âgé de 46 ans, Pierre-Yves VAILLANT réside à Lyon où il a déjà assisté à de nombreuses manifestations cinématographiques (Festival Lumière, Hallucinations collectives entre autres). Après un cursus de lettres modernes, La Sarabande Lyonnaise est son premier roman.
Son but consiste à se dépasser. Vaincre l’impossible devient l’objectif de chaque instant.

Intro :

Je tiens à remercier l'auteur pour m'avoir permis de découvrir son livre.

Résumé :

« Mes fondations ont glissé sans que je m’en aperçoive. Comme prédestinées, les choses sont arrivées d’elles-mêmes. C’était inscrit dans la course, l’alignement des planètes et j’y ai vu l’empreinte du destin aussi clairement que si toutes les étoiles du ciel étaient alignées en clignotant sur une même rangée. Ce n’est pas survenu n’importe où, dans n’importe quel décor. C’est arrivé là, d’un coup, tandis que je déambulais le long d’une colline. Pas n’importe quelle colline, car c’est là-bas que tout a commencé. Là que je me suis perdu pour de bon (…). Ce que j’ai fait, je l’ai fait en pleine conscience, en connaissance de cause. Je ne regrette rien, ne ressens pas la moindre honte, même si aux yeux de la morale, je suis coupable alors que vous, vous ne l’êtes pas. C’est bien ».
Oscillant en permanence entre ombres et lumières, ce récit initiatique est aussi et surtout une vibrante romance sur un registre halluciné dont la flamme rock’n’roll se déploie peu à peu, d’une façon tour à tour cinématographique, mélancolique ou bien érotique. Un roman libérateur à travers lequel s’écoule quasiment l’histoire de toute une vie dans un laps de temps très court fait de flashs, de révélations comme de transgressions. Au bout des grandes brassées de cette plongée en apnée, le narrateur finira par atteindre les rives de la vérité, mais aura-t-il la force et le courage de surmonter sa propre histoire ? En ressortira-t-il indemne ?
Jamais peut-être, un homme n’est allé aussi loin dans son Odyssée personnelle.

Ce que j'en ai pensé :

J'ai lu ce livre comme une sorte d'autobiographie, dès le départ j'ai été happé par l'histoire, les personnages. Au travers du texte l'auteur nous entraîne dans la mélancolie, l'érotisme avec dans le texte des références cinématographiques .

Une plume d'auteur addictive.

Un livre à lire absolument.

I would like to thank the author for allowing me to discover his book.

Summary:

"My foundations slipped away without my noticing. As if predestined, things happened by themselves. It was written into the course, the alignment of the planets, and I saw the imprint of fate as clearly as if all the stars in the sky were aligned and blinking in a row. It didn't happen just anywhere, in any setting. It happened there, all of a sudden, while I was walking along a hill. Not just any hill, because that's where it all started. That's where I got lost for good (...). What I did, I did in full consciousness, with full knowledge of the facts. I don't regret anything, I don't feel the slightest shame, even if in the eyes of morality, I am guilty while you are not. That's good.
Constantly oscillating between light and shadow, this initiatory tale is also and above all a vibrant romance on a hallucinatory register whose rock'n'roll flame unfolds little by little, in a way that is alternately cinematographic, melancholic or erotic. A liberating novel through which the story of an entire life flows in a very short time made of flashes, revelations and transgressions. What I thought:

I read this book as a kind of autobiography, from the start I was drawn into the story, the characters. Through the text the author takes us into the melancholy, eroticism with in the text cinematographic references.

An addictive author's pen.

A book to read absolutely.
