Mais Martin Servaz ne peut imaginer la véritable nature de cette chasse, pas plus qu'il ne peut deviner les contours des sentiers de la peur sur lesquels cette enquête va le mener...

Que de plaisir de retrouver Martin Servaz et son équipe. Chaque livres de Bernard Minier sont des coups de cœur, à chaque fois que je commence un de ses livres, je suis directement happé par l'histoire et les personnages si attachants.

Tout commence par une nuit de pleine lune en Ariège où un homme en voiture rentre tard chez lui n'a pas le temps de freiner à temps et percute un cerf surgissant des bois. Cette terrifiante collision n'est pas la pire des choses qui pouvait arriver au chauffeur, ce n'est pas un animal qu'il à percuté il s'agit bien d'un humain, un jeune homme portant une tête de cerf. Servaz dépêché sur les lieux est convaincu que ce jeune homme fuyait quelque chose ou quelqu'un. 

En commençant ce livre je ne me suis pas attendu à cela à la fin, plus j'avançais dans l'histoire plus je voulais arriver au final de l'enquête, une histoire prenante, captivante, rempli d'action, d'intrigues, de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages toujours aussi attachants. Hâte de lire son prochain livre.

Si vous aimez l'action, les rebondissements, les enquêtes policières bien menées c'est les livres de Bernard minier qu'il faut lire.

Called to the scene of the strange accident, Commander Servaz is quickly convinced that the victim was running away from something... or someone. Like a hunted beast. But Martin Servaz cannot imagine the true nature of this hunt, nor can he guess the contours of the paths of fear on which this investigation will lead him...

My review :

What a pleasure to find Martin Servaz and his team. Each book of Bernard Minier is a favorite, each time I start one of his books, I am directly caught by the story and the characters so endearing.

It all begins on a full moon night in the Ariege region of France when a man driving home late doesn't have time to brake in time and collides with a deer emerging from the woods. This terrifying collision is not the worst thing that could happen to the driver, it is not an animal that he hit but a human, a young man wearing a deer head. Servaz is dispatched to the scene and is convinced that the young man was running away from something or someone. 

When I started this book I didn't expect that at the end, the more I progressed in the story the more I wanted to get to the end of the investigation, a gripping story, captivating, full of action, intrigue, suspense and twists and turns with characters still as endearing. Can't wait to read her next book.

If you like action, twists and turns, well conducted police investigations, it is Bernard Minier's books that you should read.
