Résumé :

Un roman de voyage aux confins de la steppe à la poursuite d'un cheval merveilleux. Deux amis, des chevaux, des chamans et une malédiction.

Pour sauver un cheval sauvage, il va devoir se guérir.

Ewart, un homme de cheval brisé par le chagrin, a renoncé à aimer. Kersten sa meilleure amie et complice, se perd dans une séparation qui n’en finit pas où ses deux enfants sont pris en otage. Heureusement, leur attachement sans faille l’un à l’autre les rend plus forts pour affronter tous les malheurs.

Le sauvetage d’un étalon akhal téké mystérieux et indomptable vient bousculer leur quotidien quand il est question de l’euthanasier. Leurs problèmes personnels relegués au second plan, ils s’engagent dans une course contre la montre qui mène Ewart aux portes de la mort et Kersten dans une fuite à cheval à travers bois.

Un jeune chaman leur vient en aide au moment le plus critique, mais le prix à payer est lourd : ils doivent se quitter. Sauront-ils affronter les épreuves de la steppe chacun de leur côté ? Leur précieuse amitié survivra-t-elle à ce voyage ?

Ma chronique :

Je tiens à remercier l'auteure pour m'avoir permis de lire avant la sortie numérique ce livre coup de cœur. J'ai de suite été happé par l'histoire et les personnages.

On y retrouve Ewart un des personnage principaux qui aime les chevaux mais qui est totalement brisé par la perte d'un être cher. Quant à Kersten sa meilleure amie, elle est séparée et vit avec ses deux enfants. Ses deux protagonistes vont s'attacher encore plus l'un à l'autre ce qui va les rendre plus fort pour affronter leur malheur.

Jusqu'au jour où un étalon va être sauver et tout va basculer dans leur vie surtout qu'il sera sous peu euthanasié. Le tout combiné va les mener aux portes de la mort pour Ewart et Kersten dans une course contre la montre à cheval en forêt. Un jeune chaman va leur prêter main forte au moment ou ils en auront le plus besoin mais il faudra en payer le prix, ils devront se quitter. Arriveront ils a affronter les épreuves dans la steppe chacun de leur côté? Leur précieuse amitié arrivera t'elle à survivre?

Ce qui m'a le plus attiré à lire ce livre :

- déjà la magnifique couverture de ce livre;

- le résumé une fois lu j'avais envie de me plonger dans l'histoire.

Les points positifs :

- les personnages si attachants,

- le suspens et les rebondissements,

- la plume de l'auteure toujours aussi addictive,

- la fluidité des chapitres a passer d'un personnage à l'autre.

Si vous aimez les voyages en fin fond de la steppe le tout a cheval avec un mélange de malédiction et de chamane c'est ce livre qu'il faut lire.

Summary :

My review :

I would like to thank the author for allowing me to read this favorite book before the digital release. I was immediately drawn into the story and the characters.

We find Ewart one of the main characters who loves horses but who is totally broken by the loss of a loved one. As for Kersten, his best friend, she is separated and lives with her two children. Her two protagonists will become even more attached to each other which will make them stronger to face their misfortune.

Until the day when a stallion will be saved and everything will change in their lives especially since he will be euthanized soon. The combination of all this will lead them to the doors of death for Ewart and Kersten in a race against time on horseback in the forest. A young shaman will lend them a hand when they need it the most, but they will have to pay the price, they will have to leave each other. Will they be able to face the trials in the steppe on their own? Will their precious friendship survive?

What attracted me most to read this book :

- already the beautiful cover of this book;

- the summary once read I wanted to dive into the story.

The positive points :

- the characters so endearing,

- the suspense and the twists,

- the author's pen is always so addictive,

- the fluidity of the chapters to go from one character to another.

If you like travels in the depths of the steppe, all on horseback with a mixture of curse and shaman, this is the book to read.
