La petite ville de St. Marys est frappée par des disparitions d'enfants inexpliquées. Cinq au total, en l’espace de quatre mois. Bien qu’aucun indice formel n’ait été relevé par les forces de police, tout porte à croire qu’il s’agit d’enlèvements. Le FBI est chargé du dossier.L'agent spécial Eliott Cooper est envoyé sur place pour enquêter. Peu à peu, il va être confronté à des faits qui ne relèveront plus de ses compétences d'agent, mais de sa capacité à lutter contre un mal obscur qui semble s’être emparé des forêts alentour de la ville... et ça n'est que le début de son enquête.

Summary :

The small town of St. Marys is plagued by unexplained child disappearances. Five in total, in the space of four months. Although there are no formal clues from the police force, all indications are that they are abductions. The FBI is in charge of the case and Special Agent Elliott Cooper is sent to investigate. Little by little, he will be confronted with facts that will no longer fall within his competence as an agent, but rather his ability to fight against a dark evil that seems to have taken over the forests around the city... and this is only the beginning of his investigation.

Je tiens à remercier les éditions Moonlight et le site Netgalley pour ce partenariat.

J'avais été subjugué par "Tréfonds" et bien là encore plus par ce livre. J'adore la plume de l'auteur si addictive.

L'histoire se déroule dans la petite ville de Saint Marys où il y a des disparitions d'enfants inexpliquées. Cinq en quatre mois. Aucunes preuves n'ont été trouvées par la police. Le Bureau Fédéral d'Investigation prend l'enquête en mains. Eliott Cooper est envoyé sur place et va tomber sur ce qu'il ne devait pas voir et il va devoir avoir à faire à un mal très obscur et il va devoir lutter contre ce mal qui s'est trouvé une place dans les forêts alentours.

J'ai accroché de suite à ce livre si prenant, captivant, rempli de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages attachants. Hâte de découvrir d'autres livres de et auteur.

I had been captivated by "Tréfonds" and even more by this book. I love the pen of the author so addictive.

The story takes place in the small town of Saint Marys where there are unexplained disappearances of children. Five in four months. No evidence has been found by the police. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is taking over the investigation. Eliott Cooper is being sent to the scene and is going to come across what he was not supposed to see and he is going to have to deal with a very dark evil and he is going to have to fight this evil that has found a place in the forests around here.

I hooked right away on this book so engaging, captivating, full of suspense and twists and turns with endearing characters. Looking forward to discovering other books by and author.
