A few words about the author :

Caroline Vermalle was born in France in 1973 to a family whose French roots go back at least as far as the 16th century. Yet, she is a vegetarian who can’t cook, doesn’t drink, finds berets itchy and unpractical and would rather eat yesterday’s snails than jump a queue.

After graduating from film school in Paris, she became a television documentary producer for the BBC in London and travelled the world, at speed and off the beaten tracks, in search of good stories. In 2008, then on maternity leave, she penned her first novel « George’s Grand Tour », whose international success allowed her to quit her job and indulge in her three passions : books, interior design and travel - slowly this time.

After writing 7 novels in different genres and different languages, going on a world tour with her family and building a wooden house in a forest, Caroline now lives between a small seaside town in Vendée (France) and a small seaside town in the Eastern Cape (South Africa) with her son, a black cat and her husband, South African architect-turned-author Ryan von Ruben.

Caroline Vermalle est née en France en 1973 dans une famille dont les racines françaises remontent au moins au XVIe siècle. Pourtant, c'est une végétarienne qui ne sait pas cuisiner, ne boit pas, trouve les bérets qui démangent et ne sont pas pratiques et préfère manger les escargots d'hier plutôt que de faire la queue.

Après avoir obtenu son diplôme d'une école de cinéma à Paris, elle est devenue productrice de documentaires télévisés pour la BBC à Londres et a parcouru le monde, à toute allure et hors des sentiers battus, à la recherche de bonnes histoires. En 2008, alors en congé de maternité, elle écrit son premier roman " George's Grand Tour ", dont le succès international lui permet de quitter son travail et de se livrer à ses trois passions : les livres, la décoration d'intérieur et les voyages - lentement cette fois.

Après avoir écrit 7 romans en différents genres et différentes langues, fait le tour du monde avec sa famille et construit une maison en bois dans une forêt, Caroline vit maintenant entre une petite ville de Vendée (France) et une petite ville de l'Eastern Cape (Afrique du Sud) avec son fils, un chat noir et son mari, l'architecte sud-africain devenu auteur Ryan von Ruben.

Mon avis :

Je suis tombé par hasard sur la trilogie sur le site Amazon depuis le temps que je voulais lire cette série voilà qui est fait. Hâte de lire le livre I.

On y retrouve Florence Mornay qui joue gros en acceptant d'aller en rendez-vous dans un musée allemand. On lui promet un article de taille un trésor égyptien porteur de malédiction. Celui ci est il du à la fièvre que commence à avoir Florence? où du à une présence? Son chemin va finir par croiser celui de Sixtine emmurée vivante dans la Pyramide de Khéops.

Un avant goût de la série Sixtine ce mini livre me donne trop envie de lire la série. Une histoire captivante, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages attachants avec la plume de l'auteure addictive.

I stumbled upon the trilogy on the Amazon website since I wanted to read this series and now I have. Can't wait to read Book I.

It features Florence Mornay who plays a big game by agreeing to go on a date in a German museum. She is promised an article of size a curse-bearing Egyptian treasure. Is this one due to the fever that Florence is starting to get? Or is it due to a presence? His path will end up crossing that of the Sixtine walled up alive in the Pyramid of Cheops.

A foretaste of the Sistine series, this mini book makes me want to read the series. A captivating story, full of suspense and twists and turns with endearing characters with the pen of the addictive author.
