Emily M. Danforth was born and raised Miles City, Montana--home of the "world famous" Bucking Horse Sale. Her first novel--The Miseducation of Cameron Post--was influenced, in part, by the landscape and cowboy/small town culture of eastern Montana. emily has her MFA in Fiction from the University of Montana and a Ph.D in English-Creative Writing, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Currently she is an Assistant Professor of English at Rhode Island College in Providence.

Mon avis :

Depuis le temps que je voulais lire ce livre, voilà qui est fait.

Au départ, j'ai peiné à accroché à l'histoire mais plus j’avançais dans le livre plus j'ai adoré les personnages que j'ai trouvé attachants et l'histoire si captivante, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements. Hâte de lire d'autres livres de cette auteure.

Cameron perd ses parents dans un accident de voiture, elle en est soulagée car quelques heures auparavant, elle embrassait une autre fille.

Elle va devoir emménager chez sa tante Ruth. Dès lors sa vie sera bien différente car à Miles City il faut apprendre à se débrouiller seule. Elle va rencontrer Coley et sa tante va vouloir les séparées.

Ce livre en dis long sur la découverte de sois même et d'avoir le courage de vivre sa vie comme cela nous enchante.

My mind :

Since I've been wanting to read this book for so long, I've done so.

At first, I struggled to hold on to the story, but as I progressed through the book, I loved the characters I found endearing and the story so captivating, full of suspense and twists and turns. Looking forward to reading more of this author's books.

Cameron loses her parents in a car accident, she is relieved because a few hours before, she was kissing another girl.

She will have to move in with her Aunt Ruth. From then on, her life will be very different because in Miles City you have to learn to fend for yourself. She'll meet Coley, and her aunt will want to separate them.

This book says a lot about finding yourself and having the courage to live your life the way you want.
