Mon avis :

J'ai de suite été attiré par le titre du livre. J'ai peiné à accroché à l'histoire mais au final j'ai adoré l'histoire émouvante, captivante avec des personnages attachants.

L'histoire se déroule dans le passé entre 1968 et 1969 et dans le présent. En Cornouailles en 1968 les Alton élisent domicile au manoir de Pencraw l'été jusqu'au jour où un drame va avoir lieu. Cinquante ans plus tard Lorna souhaite se marier dans ce lieu où elle a séjourner enfant mais plus elle se renseigne sur cette fameuse enfance plus elle va tomber des nues. Un bon roman que je recommande.

My mind :

I was immediately attracted by the title of the book. I struggled to hang on to the story but in the end I loved the moving story, captivating with endearing characters.

The story unfolds in the past between 1968 and 1969 and in the present. In Cornwall, in 1968, the Alton made their home at Pencraw Manor in the summer until the day when a tragedy was going to take place. Fifty years later Lorna wants to get married in this place where she has to stay child but more she learns about this famous childhood more she will fall from the clouds. A good novel that I recommend.
